General Instructions

Mouth taping might seem unusual at first, but it’s a breeze once you get the hang of it. Follow these steps for a seamless experience:

  • Clean Start: Wash and thoroughly dry your face.
  • Remove Backing: Hold the mouth tape with your fingers on the left and right side of the perforation line. Pull apart in opposite directions. You'll notice that the perforations will split, allowing easy access to remove the backing.
    • Apply Gently: Purse your lips slightly and place the tape firmly over your mouth.
    • Use Nasal Strips: If you're just starting your mouth taping journey, it can help to use nasal strips in the beginning to ease the transition into nasal breathing. Hint: if you've purchased the 3-month supply, we've include a couple complimentary nasal strips for this very reason!
    • Safety First: If you're experiencing nasal congestion or difficulty breathing through your nose, it's best to skip the tape until your nasal passages are clear.

    Easier Removal

Our tape's strong adhesion ensures it stays put all night. However, if you find it a bit stubborn in the morning, here are some pain-free removal tips:

    • Prior to Taping: If you're not already using lotion before sleeping, nows a great time to start! Simply apply some chapstick, face lotion, or beard balm  prior to applying the tape. This helps keep your skin young and fresh, while also helping with the removal in the morning.
    • Roll, Don't Peel: Gently roll the tape off, rather than pulling it away from the skin.
    • Keep It Taut: Flex your mouth muscles and keep the skin taut! This helps to minimize discomfort and prevent your skin from stretching.
    • Use Some Water: Peel one edge of the tape to expose the inside. Then, add some water on the inside to help weaken the adhesive.
    • Tongue to the Rescue: This sounds a bit gross, but you can also use your tongue to push the tape off. Just start from the inside and let your saliva weaken the adhesive!

Combining it with Your Skincare Routine

Our mouth tape is designed to work in harmony with your nightly skincare routine:

    • Clean Canvas: Always start with a clean and dry face.
    • Product Absorption: After applying your skincare products, give them time to absorb before applying the tape.
    • Balance Is Key: If the tape doesn't stick, wait a few extra minutes for your skincare products to absorb into your skin.
